Job summary

Excel Care Newark, part of Excelcare Health Management, is seeking a reliable Dietary Aide to support meal service, food prep, and a clean dining environment for residents.

You will assist in preparing and serving meals per dietary guidelines, deliver trays, maintain sanitation, help with storage and inventory, and collaborate with dietary and nursing staff. Prior food service or healthcare experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food service or healthcare is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

As a vital member of our culinary team, you will play a crucial role in supporting meal service, food preparation, and maintaining a clean and safe dining environment for our residents.

As a Dietary Aide, you will be responsible for assisting in preparing and serving meals according to dietary guidelines, delivering trays to resident rooms and dining areas, and following portion control and sanitation procedures. You will also clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and dishware, assist with food storage and inventory rotation, provide snacks and hydration as directed, and support special dietary needs and resident preferences.
