Job summary

Westfields Hospital & Clinic is seeking a dedicated hospital food service worker to prepare meals for general and therapeutic diets, deliver items to patients and departments, and support catering events. This role offers opportunities to work 2–3 shifts per week with evening and weekend options.

Qualifications include prior hospital food preparation experience and basic computer knowledge; the position is on-site with part-time hours.

• Prepares food trays for general and therapeutic diets.
• Prepares and delivers items to patients or departments.
• Assists in preparing and plating salads, desserts and nourishments.
• Maintains tray line in a clean, neat, and organized manner.
• Prepares special diet foods as necessary.
• Delivers food carts to patient care units and returns carts to kitchen.
• Prepares tables for catering events.
• Works hospital cafeteria food line and restocks condiments and food as needed.
• Loads and washes dishes in dishwasher or pot sink.
• Puts clean dishes and utensils away.
• Disposes of trash and garbage in appropriate manner.

• Prepares tables for catering events according to requests.
• Works hospital cafeteria food line and restocks condiments and food as needed.
• Loads and washes dishes in dishwasher or pot sink.
• Puts clean dishes and utensils away.
• Disposes of trash and garbage in appropriate manner.

Work Schedule

• 2-3 shifts a week
• Shift possibilities are: Mon-Sun 4pm-7:30pm, Sat 7am-12:15pm, Sun 7am-1:30pm

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospital food preparation preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge preferred.
