Job summary

Lake Forest Senior Living at Mountain Home is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide for a long-term care facility. The role involves serving meals, dishwashing, cleaning, and maintaining supplies while ensuring resident comfort and adherence to sanitary guidelines.

The position requires good communication with residents and families, ability to multitask, and a commitment to quality resident service. Work hours are 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, three days a week.

Qualifications

• Experience providing quality resident services including needs assessment and evaluation of resident satisfaction.
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously and prioritize work.
• Working knowledge of sanitary practices relating to food handling.
• Good communication skills and ability to interact with residents and families.
• Ability to identify and report problems and propose corrections.
• Must perform dishwashing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Run dishes and silverware through the dish machine and provide resident service within guidelines.
• Clean and maintain equipment and areas as designated by management.
• Maintain sufficient supply of china, silverware, trays, cups and glasses during service periods.
• Serve meals to residents in dining areas with proper portion control and appetizing appearance.
• Complete daily cleaning tasks including cleaning spills and disposal of trash.
• Participate in departmental cleaning and recycling program.
• Dispose of food and waste according to guidelines.

Responsibilities of Dietary Aide:

• Run dishes and silverware through dish machine following proper procedures and provides excellent resident service within established guidelines

• Clean and maintain certain equipment and areas as designated by management

• Keep sufficient supply of china, silverware, trays, cups and glasses during service periods.

• Serves meals to residents in dining areas in accordance with established portion control procedures that are appetizing in appearance

• May be required to complete daily cleaning assignments that include but are not limited to cleaning up spilled food, drinks and broken dishes, unloading dishwasher and removing empty bottles and disposing of trash

• Participates in the departmental cleaning and recycling program

• Disposes of food and waste in accordance with facility / state guidelines

Requirements of Dietary Aide:

• Experience providing quality resident services including needs assessment, meeting quality standards, and evaluation of resident's satisfaction

• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, has ability to prioritize work and resolve emergencies as they may occur

• Working knowledge of sanitary practices relating to food handling

• Good communication skills and ability to effectively interact with others (residents and families)

• Ability to identify and report problems associated with the daily work routine and provide suggestions for correction of those problems

• Must perform dishwashing tasks

Position opening is for 1:00 PM-8:00 PM, 3 days a week.
