Allure of Mendota is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in Mendota, Illinois. You will support meal preparation, tray assembly, and room service, ensuring residents receive safe, appetizing meals.

Responsibilities include verifying dietary restrictions, maintaining sanitation, documenting service, and collaborating with staff. Full-time and part-time shifts are available; CPR/food handler certifications are required by Illinois regulations.

Qualifications

• Must meet eligibility requirements for IDPH Health Care Worker Registry.
• CPR certification as required.
• Food Handler Certification as required by State of Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and serving, maintaining food safety and hygiene.
• Inspect special diet trays for compliance with dietary restrictions.
• Verify meal trays against printed tickets and menus.
• Resolve resident tray issues and handle requests or complaints.
• Assist with room service delivery and meal transport.
• Maintain clean, sanitized kitchen, storeroom, and dining areas.
• Wash dishes and utensils according to standards.
• Complete required meal service documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team at Allure of Mendota, a skilled nursing and healthcare center in Mendota, Illinois. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care and service to our residents. Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and serving, ensuring food safety and hygiene procedures are followed at all times.
• Inspect special diet trays before passing to ensure they comply with dietary restrictions.
• Check the accuracy of meal trays against printed tray tickets and menu.
• Resolve problems with resident trays and resolve resident requests or complaints.
• Assist with room service delivery, including assembling resident trays, loading carts, and delivering meals to residents.
• Maintain clean and sanitized kitchen, storeroom, and dining room areas, equipment, and surfaces.
• Wash dishes and/or utensils in a way that is in line with acceptable practice standards.
• Complete required documentation of meal service.
• Other duties as assigned or needed.

Additional Functions

• Complete required training, online training, and attend department and all staff meetings.
• Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
• Mandatory reporting of suspected abuse/neglect/misappropriation/exploitation to administrator, director, or nursing, or charge nurse if administrator and/or DNS are not in building.

Requirements

• Must meet eligibility requirements for IDPH Health Care Worker Registry.
• Must be able to safely and successfully perform job-related functions, with or without reasonable accommodation required by federal, state, or local law.
• CPR certification as required.
• Food Handler Certification as required by State of Illinois.

Work Environment

• Full-time and part-time positions available.
• Various shifts available, including 1st - 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 2nd - 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
