Job summary

Manassas Health & Rehab Center is seeking a Dietary Aide to support residents by helping provide nutritious meals, maintaining a clean dining environment, and contributing to a positive dining experience.

You will work as part of the Dietary Services team, follow food safety rules, and report safety concerns while supporting the center's mission to deliver compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous food service or healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and portioning of cold food items, beverages, snacks, and nourishments.
• Prepare, label, and organize between-meal snacks and nourish-ment stock.
• Assist with meal setup, tray preparation, delivery, and service.
• Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and service ware in accordance with infection control and food safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and sanitary work environment.
• Follow established food handling procedures, dietary policies, and applicable regulations.
• Report safety concerns and equipment issues to the supervisor.
• Complete required training and attend departmental and Center meetings.
• Treat residents, families, visitors, and fellow team members with dignity and respect.
