The Madera-Rehabilitation- dietary team seeks a compassionate Dietary Aide to assist with meals and dietary activities in accordance with facility standards. You will work with dieticians, cooks, and nursing staff to support residents’ nutritional needs and dignity.
You will help prepare and serve meals, maintain sanitation, and follow safety procedures. Strong communication with residents, families, and staff is essential, as is reliability and teamwork in a busy care setting.
The purpose of your job position is to provide assistance in all food functions in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards that govern the facility and as directed by Dietary or other management.
The Dietary Aide will treat each resident with kindness, dignity and respect. They will refer to each resident by their name. They will communicate clearly, empathetically, and effectively when speaking to residents, family members, visitors, all staff and governmental agencies. They will work cooperatively with all departments and multidisciplinary teams. They will demonstrate patience, initiative and willingness to assist residents that may be difficult or in discomfort. They will relate all pertinent information concerning a resident's condition to a charge nurse as required. They will be committed to always doing the right thing.
