Job summary

Prestwick Village is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our culinary team and assist in preparing nutritious meals for residents. You will help with meal service, safety, and sanitation while supporting a positive dining experience.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and enjoy working in a team; experience in food service is welcome but not required. We provide competitive pay, benefits, PTO, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Meal assistance to residents according to dietary plans and requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen and dining areas; wash dishes and equipment as needed.
• Provide meal assistance to residents, helping with setup and serving.
• Follow all food safety protocols for storage, handling and sanitation.
• Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies; notify Dietary Manager of shortages.
• Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure smooth kitchen/dining operations.
• Fulfill special dietary requests and accommodate residents' preferences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meal Assistance: Help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and special requests.
• Sanitation & Cleanliness: Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas. Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.
• Resident Support: Provide meal assistance to residents as needed, including helping with meal setup and serving, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Food Safety: Follow all food safety protocols, including proper food storage, handling, and sanitation practices, to ensure food is safe for consumption.
• Inventory Support: Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies, checking inventory, and notifying the Dietary Manager of any shortages or supply needs.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dietary team to ensure the kitchen and dining areas run smoothly, assisting with food prep and meal service as directed.
• Resident Engagement: Assist in fulfilling special dietary requests and ensuring residents’ individual preferences and needs are met during meal times.
