Job summary

Wyoming Valley Behavioral Health is seeking a part-time dietary aide to join our weekends team. The role supports patient meals, trays, dishwashing, stocking, and kitchen sanitation in a hospital setting, following safety guidelines and established menus.

Responsibilities include preparing trays, delivering to units, restocking supplies, and recording temperature logs. Must be 18+ with a high school diploma; hospital or dietary aide experience and ServSafe/CPR certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum age 18.
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Prior experience as a dietary aide preferred.
• Experience in customer service preferred.

• Prepares trays for patients on units and serves food in cafeteria according to menus.
• Delivers food cart(s) to units.
• Performs dishwashing procedures including pots and pans and all equipment.
• Set up for the next meal.
• Performs cleaning duties in kitchen – serving areas and equipment.
• Checks incoming supplies and restocks storerooms.
• Prepares and delivers snacks and nourishment as ordered by units.
• Checks and records refrigerator temp logs in all patient care areas.

The dietary aide will be responsible for serving food, cleaning, and stocking the kitchen area while adhering to all safety and sanitation guidelines. Must be capable of following instructions and maintaining all standards. The aide must be competent and conscientious with a customer-oriented approach. The goal is to provide excellent food services by following instructions and standards.

Day and Evening hours required. Weekends required.
