Job summary

Rose Tara Senior Living in North Carolina is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to join our culinary team and help provide nutritious, high-quality meals to residents. You will assist with meal prep and service, uphold food safety standards, and work closely with staff to ensure a positive dining experience for seniors.

Ideally, you have experience in food service and a strong commitment to resident well-being, teamwork, and outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a food service role is preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is expected.
• Ability to follow directions and work efficiently as part of a team.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Meal Assistance: Help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and special requests.
• Sanitation & cleanliness: Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Resident Support: Provide meal assistance to residents as needed, including helping with meal setup and serving, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Food Safety: Follow all food safety protocols, including proper food storage, handling, and sanitation practices, to ensure food is safe for consumption.
• Inventory Support: Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies, checking inventory, and notifying the Dietary Manager of any shortages or supply needs.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dietary team to ensure the kitchen and dining areas run smoothly, assisting with food prep and meal service as directed.
• Resident Engagement: Assist in fulfilling special dietary requests and ensuring residents’ individual preferences and needs are met during meal times.
