Job summary

Warren Barr North Shore seeks a qualified Dietary Technician to support residents with their nutritional and medical goals. You will provide nutrition services, monitor nutritional status, and document findings while collaborating with the on-site dietitian for high-risk cases.

Requires 1 year of dietary experience and an associate degree in a related field; CDR licensure is preferred. Competitive benefits and a supportive growth environment are offered at this North Shore facility in Highland

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences or similar field is required.
• One year of experience as a Dietary Technician is preferred.
• CDR licensure is preferable but not required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in reaching nutritional and medical goals.
• Provide nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy.
• Evaluate, monitor, and document residents’ nutritional status and needs.
• Identify and provide nutritional counselling to meet cultural needs.
• Coordinate with on-site dietitian for high-risk cases and write dietary orders.

As a Dietary Technician you will assist our residents in reaching their nutritional and medical goals. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Warren Barr North Shore by providing nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy, evaluating, monitoring, and documenting the nutritional status and needs of our residents, identifying and providing nutritional counselling to meet the cultural needs of our residents, working with the on-site dietitian for high-risk cases and writing dietary orders. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive an unparalleled standard of care.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, an associate's degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences or similar filed. One (1) year of experience as a Dietary Technician, bachelors in associated field, and licensure by the CDR is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
