Job summary

Yona is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our team and provide warm, friendly hospitality to residents, visitors, and coworkers. You will support dining services, assist in meal preparation, and help maintain clean, organized dining areas within a residential setting.

Applicants should have proven dietary aide experience, strong communication skills, and familiarity with sanitation guidelines. A background check is required to ensure safety and quality of service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a dietary aide.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus.
• Friendly with good communication skills.
• Must provide a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Set up tables or dining areas with cleanliness and order.
• Prepare meals under supervision of dietary manager or cook.
• Deliver dishes and trays at designated times and rooms.
• Take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses etc.
• Discard leftovers and take out garbage.
• Clean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware.
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory.
• Assist in keeping track of expenses and menu planning.
• Help maintain kitchen equipment and appliances.
