Job summary

Emerald Nursing and Rehabilitation in Elizabethtown, PA is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to join our team. You will help plan and prepare meals, tailor menus to residents’ dietary needs, and support kitchen and dining staff in daily operations.

Requirements include a high school diploma, sanitation compliance, and strong communication and teamwork skills. The role offers a supportive, family-like environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to comply with sanitation regulations.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Strong computer and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' dietary requirements and preferences with Dieticians to develop healthy menus and nutritional care plans.
• Prepare individual dietary menus based on patients' medical conditions, health, preferences, and distastes.
• Assist with meal preparation and serving.
• Inspect special diet trays to ensure compliance with dietary restrictions.
• Assist the Cook with determining kitchen supplies and stock for the day and maintain stock levels.
• Assist with cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining areas.
