Job summary

Monrovia Post Acute in Duarte, CA, seeks a Food & Nutrition Specialist to assist in all dietary functions, following established policies and procedures. You will help prepare and deliver meals, set up dining areas, ensure proper temperatures, and support a compassionate, team-based kitchen and care staff to deliver high-quality, person-centered nutrition to residents.

Qualifications

• Previous dietary experience in acute or long term care environment preferred
• Completion of Food Handling training and certification

• Respects and upholds all residents' personal and property rights whenever carrying out duties, including knocking before entering a resident's room.
• Complies with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Ensures that dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies, production sheets and recipes, including the use of adaptive devices per instructions.
• Serves meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
• Sets-up tray cards, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed for meal service.
• Assists in ensuring that meals are prepared and delivered on time and at proper temperature.
