Desoto Nursing is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our care team in a fast-paced residential setting. This role focuses on assisting with meal service, maintaining cleanliness, managing supplies, and preparing foods per menu and recipes. You will also portion meals and sanitize dishes to ensure safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Meal Service by assembling trays and delivering meal carts.
• Maintain cleanliness by disposing of refuse per policies.
• Manage supplies by delivering and rotating food and floor supplies (FIFO).
• Prepare foods following menu and standardized recipes for safe, efficient service.
• Serve meals by portioning and following recipes and spreadsheet instructions.
• Sanitize equipment by washing, sanitizing, and storing dishes, utensils, and cooking gear.

Your Impact as a Dietary Aide

In this role, you will:

• Assist with Meal Service: Assemble trays and deliver meal carts to nursing or dining areas

• Maintain Cleanliness: Dispose of refuse in accordance with departmental policies and procedures

• Manage Supplies: Deliver and rotate food and floor supplies according to standards (first in, first out)

• Prepare Foods: Follow menu and standardized recipes to prepare meals safely and efficiently

• Serve Meals: Portion and serve meals as directed by recipes and spreadsheet instructions

• Sanitize Equipment: Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment properly
