We are seeking a warm, friendly, and dependable Dietary Aide to join our Culinary team at Norwood Crossing!
In this key role, you will assist with meal setup, serve food and beverages to residents, maintain clean dining spaces, and support kitchen operations. If you enjoy working around seniors, take pride in hospitality, and thrive in a supportive team environment, we would love to meet you!
Dining Room Service: Assist with setting tables, serving meals, beverages, and desserts to residents in accordance with their dietary guidelines and preferences.
Tray Line & Delivery: Assemble resident meal trays accurately according to dietary cards and deliver trays to resident rooms or care areas in a timely manner.
Kitchen & Dining Sanitation: Clear and sanitize dining tables, wash dishes, operate dishwashing equipment, and maintain a clean, organized kitchen and dining area.
Food Preparation Assistance: Assist culinary staff with basic food prep tasks, portioning side dishes, preparing drinks, and stocking supplies.
Safety & Compliance: Follow all local food safety protocols, sanitation guidelines, and infection control standards.
Experience: Prior experience in food service, dietary aide work, or hospitality preferred (experience in senior living or healthcare facilities is a plus!).
Certifications: Food Handler Certificate (or willingness to obtain upon hire per City of Chicago / State of Illinois regulations).
Skills & Abilities: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30–40 lbs during a shift; strong multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
