Job summary

Broken Bow Health and Rehab in Oklahoma is seeking a Dietary Aide to support patient nourishment and comfort. You will prepare food trays for general and therapeutic diets, deliver trays and items, and maintain a clean, organized tray line.

• Deliver food carts to patient care units and return carts to kitchen on schedule.
• Log and record wash/rinse temperatures.
• Wash specified items by hand (pots, pans, knives).
• Assist in kitchen cleaning as per facility policies.
• Assist in preparing salads, desserts, and other nourishments.
• Perform special cleaning duties using infection control techniques as assigned by the Dietary Manager.
• Treat co-workers, residents and guests with respect and dignity.
• Perform all aspects of resident care to support safety and reduce care errors.

Our dietary aides perform many different tasks, some of them include:

• Prepare food trays for general and therapeutic diets.
• Prepare and deliver items as requested.
• Maintain tray line in a clean, neat, and organized manner.
• Deliver food carts to patient care units. Return carts to kitchen at designated times.
• Load and oversee dishwashers and log and record wash/rinse temperatures.
• Wash specified items by hand. Example - Pots, pans, knives.
• Assist in kitchen cleaning as per facility policies.
• Assist in preparing salads, desserts, and other nourishments.
• Performs special cleaning duties using proper infection control techniques as assigned by the Dietary Manager
• Treat co-workers, residents and guests with respect and dignity.
• Perform all aspects of resident care in an environment that optimizes resident safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
