Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA is seeking a Dietary & Food Service Aide to join our inpatient dining team. This 40-hour-per-week role features varied 1st and 2nd shifts, with weekends and holidays required, and includes tray assembly, meal delivery, and updating diet orders to ensure patients receive appropriate meals.

You may operate a cash register, interact with Registered Dietitians, and support patient care.

The Dietary & Food Service Aide performs a variety of food service activities in an inpatient hospital setting. This is a great opportunity to work close to home and be part of a customer focused food services team.Hours: 40 hours per week, varied 1st & 2nd shiftsWeekends and Holidays requiredLocation: Tufts Medical CenterDuties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to describe the general nature of work and are not intended to be an all-inclusive list. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.· Maintains and communicates accurate and updated diet order information through the system to ensure patients receive appropriate meals, nourishments, and commercial enteral products in accordance with current diet order.· Delivers trays to patients, picks up trays from patients.· Ensures accurate tray assembly on patient tray line. Prepares normal menu items, salads, sandwiches, desserts, and special items.· Removes trash from assigned workstation and/or from kitchen to specified area. Returns empty bottles and cans to recycle bin located in receiving /loading dock area.
