Responsibilities

  • Assist the cook as directed by the Food Service Director
  • Prepare and label nourishments following facility guidelines
  • Portion desserts, salads, and beverages; follow prep and production sheets as needed
  • Set up and break down the meal tray line; serve trays and pour beverages
  • Read and follow tray tickets accurately
  • Set dining room tables and serve meals to residents when assigned
  • Clear tables, push food carts, and interact respectfully with residents during mealtimes
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen by sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, and washing dishes, pots, and pans
  • Store clean dishes and silverware properly
