Covenant Living at the Holmstad in Batavia, IL seeks a Dietary Aide to prepare and serve meals, assist Dietitians with patient nutrition, and ensure meals meet safety standards. You will work under supervision of a Chef or Dietitian, delivering trays and supporting dining operations across shifts.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a current Food Handler’s Permit, and some food service experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Current Food Handler’s Permit is required.
• ServSafe training beneficial.
• One year of food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation, hospitality duties, and meal service under Chef or Dietitian guidance.
• Deliver dishes, trays, and coordinate designated times/rooms.
• Assist in setting up and clearing dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order (dish, tray, trash, leftovers).
• Follow sanitation guidelines and health regulations; maintain cleanliness of prep items.
• Follow cleaning schedules and perform duties as scheduled as needed.
• Provide courteous customer service during nutrition delivery.

Join us!*The Dietary Aide, or Nutrition Aide, is responsible for preparing and delivering healthy meals and ensuring that patients have the proper foods based on their needs. They work closely with Dietitians, providing them details on allergies or restrictions to create plans accordingly. Prepare food according to instructions while adhering strictly to safety and health standards. Uses strong attention to detail for all meal preparation to ensure patients receive appropriate food and nutritional needs. Applies effective communication skills since they work directly with patients, Dietitians, and other medical professionals. Dietary Aids work with patients to ensure they get the nutrition they need throughout the day. Guided by a lead Dietitian or Chef who oversees the distribution of food and drinks to patients throughout the shift.**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:** 1.
