Job summary

Avon Health and Rehabilitation in Avon, IN is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support our residents with nutritious meals and compassionate care. You will assist in meal preparation, setup, and sanitation, while maintaining safety and confidentiality in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Understanding of safe dietary procedures and geriatric care.
• Willingness to work in residents' best interest and facility.
• Ability to work as part of a team with other departments.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion food items following recipes and menus.
• Assist in set up and delivery of meals.
• Stock management on delivery days.
• Wash and store pots, pans, dishes and utensils; sweep and mop floors.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents and their care to protect rights and privacy.
• Ensure dietary work areas are clean and sanitary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Dietary Aide Primary Responsibilities

The Dietary Aide is responsible for providing assistance with daily functions of the Dietary Department and to maintain a clean, safe work environment for all resident meals in accordance to the facility, OBRA, Federal State and other regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

Dietary Aide Essential Functions

• Dietary Aides will prepare and portion food items following recipes and menus
• Being involved in try set up and delivery of meals
• Putting away stock on delivery days
• Dietary Aides will wash and store all pots, pans, dishes and utensils as well as sweep and mop floors and any other assigned special cleaning
• Maintaining the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure resident rights and privacy are protected at all times
• Ensure the dietary work areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner
• Perform other duties as assigned
