Job summary

Medicalodges is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to assist the dietary cook and operate the dishwasher at 1637 W Riley St, Atchison, KS 66002-1514, United States. You will help prepare meals for residents and staff in keeping with Medicalodges procedures.

Responsibilities include following the schedule, assisting with meal service, loading and unloading the dishwasher, maintaining sanitation and safe handling of food, and supporting other dietary staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to take and follow directions.
• Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
• Willingness and ability to learn.
• Ability to speak, read, and understand basic cooking directions.

Responsibilities

• Follow the scheduled hours.
• Assist the cook in meal preparation and snacks.
• Assist in serving meals to residents in dining room.
• Operate the dishwasher and maintain appliance cleanliness.
• Prepare all dishwasher safe items for washing and return them to proper locations.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and practice safe hygiene.
• Follow defined safety codes while performing duties.
• Assist other dietary staff as needed.
• Maintain high personal standards of health and hygiene when preparing food.
• Other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

Assists the dietary cook in preparing meals for residents and personnel in accordance to Medicalodges procedures and operates the dishwasher.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 1. Responsible for working hours as scheduled.
• 2. Assist the cook in preparation of meals and snacks.
• 3. Assisting in service of meals to residents in dining room.
• 4. Operating automatic dishwasher and disposal. Must wear proper attire.
• 5. Preparing all dishwasher safe items for racking and washing.
• 6. Returning clean items to proper locations.
• 7. Cleaning work area and practicing safe use and care of equipment.
• 8. Utilize high standards of sanitation and safety.
• 9. Assisting other dietary staff in completing duties as needed.
• 10. Maintaining high personal standards of health and hygiene when preparing food.
• 11. Followed defined safety codes while performing all duties.
• 12. Other duties as assigned.
