Heritage Manor Care in Anaheim, CA is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide for both full-time and part-time roles. The position offers a flexible schedule with weekend availability and a starting pay rate of $16+ per hour, DOE.

You will assist with meal setup, tray assembly, and ensure proper food handling and labeling according to policy. Responsibilities include following department procedures, maintaining equipment cleanliness, and checking tray accuracy during service.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 months related experience or training.
  • Familiarity with special diets required.

Responsibilities

  • Follows department procedures and storage of all dishes, utensils and cooking equipment.
  • Ensures all food in refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage are labeled and dated.
  • Oversees proper food handling and utilization of all foods to prevent contamination, increase quality and reduce cost.
  • Suggests menu or recipe changes to utilize leftovers and other supplies.
  • Cleans all food service equipment, kitchen and food storage areas.
  • Maintains the proper temperature of food during preparation and service. Records food temperatures according to established policy.
  • Assists with the setup of the tray line. Assembles trays according to the planned menu and tray tickets, stated portion, resident food preferences, and diet order and within the established time schedules.
  • Assists in checking trays during service for accuracy.
