Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Diet Technician to help plan and deliver meals that meet residents’ dietary needs in long-term care facilities.

Under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian, you will assist in meal planning, food preparation, and nutrition care, while ensuring safety standards and accurate record-keeping to support resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nutrition/dietetics or Certified Dietary Manager required.
• 1-3 years of dietary experience in long-term care in a consultant or supervisory role required.
• In the process of obtaining Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration preferred.
• General knowledge of nutrition, food safety, and sanitation requirements.
• Ability to follow meal schedules and read food tray cards accurately.
• Strong communication skills and ability to maintain records.
• Ability to interact positively with residents and staff.
• Must be able to lift/carry 10 lbs., push/pull 10 lbs., and work around food and cleaning products.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required.
• Must live in the service area.

• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
• All other duties as assigned.
