Job summary

Northwell is seeking a dietary aide to prepare cold foods, deliver meals, and assist with tray service for patients. You will stock and restock food for patient floors and keep the work area clean and sanitized. Reports to lead diet aide, supervisor, and manager, and works with dietary and hospital staff members.

Working Conditions

• Physical & Other Factors: Stands and walks most of day, Stoops, bends and reaches, able to lift up to 50 lbs, able to move portable kitchen equipment, must be able to have hands in soapy warm water.

• At times warm, moist, odorous atmosphere, temperature changes, floor slippery at times.

• Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity
