Job summary

Friendship Village of Dublin is seeking a Diet Aide to join our caring retirement community in Dublin, Ohio. You will help provide nutritious, high-quality meals and friendly service to residents, following safety and dietary guidelines.

Full-time and part-time hours are available. Training is provided, and we emphasize growth, teamwork, and compassionate care for seniors in a supportive, collaborative kitchen and dining environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of Dietary Aide or Serving experience preferred.
• 1 year cold food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
• Understanding seniors' needs and healthcare considerations.

Responsibilities

• Provide 5-star nutrition-focused meals for residents.
• Plating and portioning food safely in a fast-paced dining area.
• Build relationships with residents and collaborate with medical and culinary teams.
• Set tables and maintain clean, organized workstations.
• Receive orders, provide service and requested items courteously.
• Prepare meal trays promptly and clear dishes after meals.
• Maintain sanitary conditions and comply with dress code.
• Complete all assigned cleaning tasks.

Full and Part Time Hours Available

• Provide 5-star nutrition-focused meals for our amazing residents!
• Plating and portioning food in a safe manner (modified and therapeutic diets) in a fast paced newly renovated dining room and making a difference in the lives of our residents.
• Building relationships with our wonderful residents!
• Working with a high quality, collaborative medical and culinary team.
• Sets tables and maintains workstations in proper order.
• Receives orders, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously.
• Composing the meal tray / food in a timely manner
• Clears dishes from tables after meal service
• Provides consistently high levels of customer service for our residents and their guests, adapting to the needs and service level expectations associated with each dining location.
• Washes dishes and prepares the work station for the following meal
• Maintains safe and sanitary conditions in work areas.
• Exhibits acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.
• Completes all assigned cleaning tasks.

Qualifications
