Job summary

ST JOSEPH Peterbilt is seeking experienced to entry-level Diesel Mechanics/Technicians for our growing Service Department. We offer on-site hands-on training and certifications from factory OEM suppliers at no cost to employees.

Candidates with 1–3 years of diesel experience are preferred and may travel for training. Job duties cover PMs to complete rebuilds on heavy and medium-duty diesel equipment, with opportunities to advance into areas of interest.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years minimum Diesel Mechanic experience (preferred).
• Heavy lifting required.
• CDL preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Promotes and maintains a positive, team-oriented, and customer-focused attitude within department.
• Demonstrates resourcefulness & versatility in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Willing to listen and follow directions/advisement from leadership.
• Understands the importance of safety in the work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM services and complete vehicle rebuilds as needed.
• Service all aspects of heavy & medium-duty diesel engines and chassis.
• Work with state-of-the-art software and tooling provided by manufacturers.
• Participate in on-site training to acquire certifications from factory OEM suppliers.
