Job summary

Sandusky Hauling Campus is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Repair Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair fleet vehicles to keep trucks safe and reliable. The role offers a 4pm–4am shift, Monday through Friday, with competitive pay and benefits.

You will diagnose issues, replace components, check fluids, and maintain records on a computer or tablet, while upholding safety standards and communicating clearly with customers and drivers.

Qualifications

• Experience using repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to troubleshoot vehicle failures.
• In-depth knowledge of truck components and systems.
• Experience repairing and maintaining heavy trucks and diesel engines.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles per schedules and DVIRs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Complete adjustments, repairs, and component replacements to vehicles/equipment.
• Check, fill, and/or change fluids and filters as needed.
• Inspect electrical, air, and brake systems and perform roadside repairs when qualified.
• Ensure safety devices on vehicles are functional and maintain records in a computer/tablet.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, shop, and work areas.
