Job summary

US Foods is seeking a skilled Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration maintenance technician to ensure safe, reliable operation of our diesel fleet including tractors, trailers, and lift gates. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance in a maintenance facility, following DOT standards.

Requires a minimum of 3 years hands-on experience, TK/Carrier refrigeration certifications, own tools, willingness to travel for training, and experience with fleet maintenance software.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician
  • TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications required
  • Willing to travel for training
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency for reefer equipment repairs
  • Experience administering PM programs
  • Must furnish own hand tools
  • Able to read/write and perform basic math
  • Experience with fleet maintenance software preferred

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete repairs on diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates)
  • Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards
  • Receive road calls and coordinate with vendors
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment
  • Document repairs and parts in the fleet maintenance software
  • Mentor other maintenance staff
  • Other duties as assigned by manager
