Job summary

Allstate Peterbilt Group in Clear Lake, IA seeks an experienced Diesel Technician/Service Technician to diagnose, repair and overhaul diesel engines and related systems. You will work with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and apply OEM procedures to identify parts and perform complex repairs, with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 75 pounds.
• Frequent bending and twisting.

Responsibilities

• Work with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to determine root causes of system failures.
• Determine services required to repair and perform failure analysis.
• Complete repairs and rebuilds/overhauls on diesel engines.
• Perform diagnostics and repairs on driveline and chassis components (clutches, hubs, differentials, fifth wheels, suspension, brakes, transmissions).
• Apply OEM documented procedures and identify required parts/tools.

Diesel Technician/Service Technician Essential & Primary Job Duties

• Work with state-of-the-art, industry leading diagnostic equipment to determine the root cause of system failures.
• Determine services required to repair and perform failure analysis.
• Complete repairs and rebuilds/overhauls on a variety of diesel engines.
• Perform diagnostic and repairs on driveline and chassis components including clutches, fan hubs, differentials, fifth wheels, suspension and brakes, transmissions, and other necessary repairs.
• Apply OEM documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs, including identifying required parts and tools.

• Ability to lift and carry items up to 75 pounds
