Job summary

FCC Environmental Services is seeking an experienced Technician in Florida to perform truck and trailer repairs, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance while upholding safety and customer service standards. You will document repairs, coordinate with the team, and ensure DOT compliance across the fleet.

The role requires hands-on maintenance skills, attention to detail, and ability to read manuals and operate diagnostic software.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of fleet maintenance experience.
• Welding and body fabrication experience a plus.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals (equipment/repair).
• Experience with diagnostic software and Microsoft tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance on service trucks (oil changes, tire rotation).
• Collaborate with repair team to diagnose problems and plan repairs.
• Maintain accurate repair records for each vehicle.
• Ensure fleet vehicles DOT compliance (brakes, etc.).
• Complete daily reporting and maintain inventory of parts.

Position Summary:

Our team is currently looking for an experienced Technician to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service. In this role, the successful candidate will perform truck repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles and work closely with other team members to meet company goals.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers
• Conducts regular preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspection, tire rotation and oil changes
• Collaborates with repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs
• Maintains accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles
• Responsible for repairing, modifying and performing preventative maintenance on applicable fleet vehicles.
• Responsible for all maintenance to the operation of equipment by completing all required preventive maintenance requirements
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical malfunctions
• Inspects fleet vehicles to ensure that all vehicles are DOT compliant to include brake maintenance
• Completes all required daily reporting as required
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level
• Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Adheres to strict safe work practices to comply with all Company, DOT and OSHA regulations

Job Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma

Experience and Competencies:

• 2 years of experience infleet maintenance
• Welding and body fabrication experience is a plus
• Must be able to read and comprehend technical reference materials (equipment and repair manuals)
• Experience with applicable Microsoft and diagnostic applications
• Strong attention to detail
• Prompt, professional and dependable demeanor
