Job summary

Gordon Truck Centers, Inc. (GTC) is hiring experienced Diesel Technicians for the Yakima, WA location.

You will run diagnostic tests, repair or replace engines and braking systems, and apply your knowledge of engines, transmissions, suspensions, and electrical schematics in a safe, well-equipped shop environment. The role offers competitive hourly pay ($20.00–$50.00), with night and weekend shifts and lead/mentor differential pay.

Responsibilities

• Run diagnostic tests and analyze results.
• Repair or replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems.
• Working knowledge of engines, transmissions, differential, A/C and suspensions.
• Determine unit condition by conducting inspections & diagnostic tests, identifying deficiencies.
• Able to read schematics for electrical and air systems.
• Develop technical skills through training opportunities.
• Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications; make necessary adjustments if required.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the shop.

Compensation

Based upon level of skill and experience, hourly compensation is $20.00 to $50.00. Night shift, weekend shift, and lead/mentor differential pay available.
