You will help our customers keep their vehicles in shape and on the road.

Main Responsibilities
  • Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers
  • Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
  • Doing preventative maintenance repairs—like replacing or rotating tires—and completing vehicle component lubrication, replacement, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles
  • Partnering with your manager to learn new skills using Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching
  • Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and 1‑2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to solve problems and be comfortable using tools
  • Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must understand and comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or other information established by Penske management
  • Must perform all work adhering to DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance policies; including but not limited to correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practice
  • Regular, predictable full attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Compliance with DOT regulations and required driver qualification file, including MVR checks, DOT physical, safety performance history records, and CDL expiry requirements
  • Willingness to work required schedule, location, complete Penske employment application, submit to background screening, pass a drug screen and physical as required by DOT, and travel for training as needed
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods during scheduled work
  • Use of hands on a routine basis to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, and operate tools or controls
  • Ability to work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms
  • Ability to work safely in all weather conditions
  • Ability to see and hear in order to safely navigate the work environment
  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg); push and pull truck tires that exceed 100 lbs required

Pay: $20.50

Hours: Tuesday–Thursday 3:00–11:30 PM, Friday 1:00–9:30 PM, Saturday 7:00–3:30 PM

Shift Differentials: Second shift start times after 11:00 AM are eligible for $2.00 per hour; Third shift start times after 9:00 PM are eligible for $3.00 per hour.
