Job summary

Bobcat Company in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Diesel Technician to join our team. Our technicians service and repair Bobcat equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and support customer relations with a can-do attitude.

The role requires 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment service, strong mechanical skills in diagnostics, hydraulics, diesel, and electrical systems, plus the ability to work with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and machine uptime.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in heavy and/or equipment service operations – skid steers, excavators, etc.
• Strong mechanical background including diagnostics, diesel mechanics, hydraulics, electrical.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, organized, energetic, and able to stay calm under pressure from multiple ongoing projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily equipment and preventative maintenance inspections.
• Diagnose and repair major systems on compact equipment, with emphasis on Bobcat line.
• Perform system rebuilds and overhauls.
• Welding.
• Work effectively with Parts, Service, Sales, and Rental teams.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Diesel Technician / Mechanic - Join the leader in the compact construction equipment industry. Bobcat of is well respected in our area, and we are currently searching for a Diesel Technician to join our team. Our Diesel Technicians play a key role in our customer relations and service representation. We are looking for a candidate who has a passion for helping our customers with a can-do attitude exceeding our customer's expectations.

S30.00 & Up DOE

Essential Functions:

• Conducting daily equipment and preventative maintenance inspections
• Diagnosing and repairing all major systems on compact equipment, with emphasis on the Bobcat line
• Performing system rebuilds and overhauls
• Welding
• Work effectively with all levels of the company -- Parts, Service, Sales, Rental
• Performing any additional tasks assigned by the Supervisor

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to various extreme conditions as this position works indoors and outdoors. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Physical Requirements

• Be able to effectively communicate with customers
• This position is continually active, requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, laying, crawling, and climbing all day.
• Employee but frequently lift and/or move items over 50lbs
• Many movements required to perform this job require a degree of strain on muscles, joints, and tendons in both your arms, chest, shoulders and back.
• Specific vision requirements required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
