A leading truck dealership in Knoxville, Tennessee is looking for a Diesel Mechanic/Technician. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing and installing heavy-duty truck and engine equipment, along with attending required training. Candidates must have three to four years of experience in truck repairs, a valid driver's license, and may require a CDL and DOT medical card. Qualifications

• Minimum of three to four years’ experience in heavy-duty truck/engine repairs and installation is required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose complaints without assistance.
• Repair and install truck/engine equipment.
• Complete jobs within the departmental established time frame.
• Maintain a level of 98% return-free work.
• Pickup and deliver service-related items and/or customer vehicles.
• Report any problems and/or concerns to the Service Manager.
• Provide guidelines to less experienced shop employees.
• Attend training classes as required.

Responsibilities

• Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing complaints without any assistance
• Responsible for the repair and installation of truck/engine equipment
• Responsible for the completion of jobs assigned within the departmental established time frame
• Responsible for performing assigned jobs and maintaining a level of 98% return‑free work
• Responsible for the pickup and delivery of service‑related items and/or customer vehicles
• Responsible for reporting any problems and/or concerns within the service environment to the Service Manager and/or Assistant Service Manager
• Answer questions from, and provide guidelines to, less experienced shop employees
• Responsible for attending training classes as required. Study shop/service materials and manuals as they relate to your job
• Responsible for performing all other duties as assigned

Requirements
