Job summary

United Rentals in Liberal, KS is hiring a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech II) to maintain, perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on rental equipment in a safe, professional manner and to support customers.

You will work with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and diesel systems; document work orders; demonstrate equipment to customers; assist with pickup and delivery of equipment and parts; and pursue higher level tech roles within the Service Department.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills are required.
• Must own tools applicable to position.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and repair of rental equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis.
• Demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
