Job summary

Davidson Logistics is seeking a Diesel Technician in Bridgeton, MO to repair and maintain trucks and equipment. The position offers daytime hours, Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-3:30PM, with pay up to $30.00-$35.00 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities include repairs on gas, propane, electric and diesel engines, diagnostics, and maintaining safety records and reports. Candidates should be able to keep up with evolving tech and have strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform duties in an efficient and safe manner.
• Ability to wear prescribed uniform and safety equipment.
• Ability to execute work within standard repair times.
• Ability to use a computer including shop maintenance program.
• Successfully pass background check, drug screen, and physical ability test.
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and inspection criteria.
• Ability to think logically and keep up with changes in technology.
• Ability to read, write and speak in English.
• Must possess a strong work ethic and good problem-solving skills.
• Must have own tools.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on gas, propane, electric and diesel engines.
• Perform equipment diagnostics and determine what repairs are needed, if required.
• Prepare all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
• Maintain current product knowledge of equipment.
• Maintain knowledge of changing technologies in the industry.
• Maintain condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
• Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation.
• Perform shop clean-up and housekeeping responsibilities.
• Use proper procedures for the handling and disposal of hazardous waste materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
