Qualifications

• Certificate from a technical or trade school is required or preferred.
• 1–3 years of technician experience is acceptable.
• Current valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, or overhaul buses, trucks, and heavy equipment.
• Test drive and inspect vehicles.
• Diagnose malfunctions and consult with customers on diagnosis.
• Read and interpret diagnostic test results.
• Raise vehicles using hydraulic jacks or hoists.
• Inspect brake systems, steering, transmissions, engines, etc.
• Perform routine maintenance and fluid/service checks.
• Repair or replace faulty components and systems.
• Test-drive vehicles after repair to ensure proper operation.
