Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In this role, you will perform maintenance and repairs on complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems with a high degree of independent judgment. Ideal candidates will have over 5 years of experience in equipment repair, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license. Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Must own tools applicable to position.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment.
• Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed.
