Job summary

Wind River Environmental is looking for experienced Diesel Technicians to help keep our hardworking fleet on the road and operating safely. This is not a dealership environment with brand-new trucks and repetitive PM work.

We operate a demanding fleet of vacuum trucks, pump trucks, roll-offs, and specialty equipment that supports essential environmental services operations across the region. The equipment works hard — and our mechanics do too.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in diesel, fleet, or heavy equipment maintenance.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability.
• Experience with medium/heavy-duty trucks and hydraulic systems.
• CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, air brake systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, and emissions equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on medium and heavy‑duty trucks and specialty equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and prioritize repairs to keep equipment operational.
• Respond to road calls and breakdowns when needed.
• Coordinate parts ordering and outside vendor repairs.
• Document repairs and maintenance using Fleetio fleet management software.

Education

5+ years of experience in diesel, fleet, or heavy equipment maintenance
