Job summary
Ballard Truck Center in Johnston, RI is seeking a Diesel Technician to perform tractor and trailer repairs, diagnostics, and routine rebuilds following SOPs. You will handle preventive maintenance, electrical work, engine components, brakes, steering, and transmissions, communicating status to shop personnel. A strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork are required.

Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of relevant diesel technician experience.
- Ability to perform tractor/trailer repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform repair and replacement of truck components and wiring as per SOPs.
- Diagnose issues using diagnostic tools and road-test vehicles as needed.
- Conduct preventive maintenance including lubrication, filters, and inspections.
- Repair or replace engines, transmissions, brakes, and driveline components.
- Maintain clean work area and complete required paperwork.
