Job summary

Transdev in Melbourne, FL is looking for a Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across various vehicles. Paid CDL training is available.

The role focuses on safety, efficiency, and longevity of the fleet, with opportunities to advance through ASE certification programs. Compensation is competitive at $24.00–$30.00 per hour, with standard benefits and a supportive, outdoors-facing work environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of automotive or diesel repair employment experience or a combination of education and experience.
• Willing to obtain Commercial Driver’s License within the first year of employment; paid CDL training available.
• ASE certifications preferred; ASE certification program provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs on brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, and transmissions.
• Ensure work orders are completed properly and maintain records of all work, parts, and supplies used.
• Complete preventive maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
