Big G Express, Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to inspect, repair and maintain our interstate fleet.

You will perform preventive maintenance on our latest and best-maintained trucks and equipment, ensuring reliability and compliance with safety standards. The role requires travel within the terminal’s proximity, lifting up to 100 lbs, and readiness to work a shifted schedule at the assigned location.

Qualifications

• Must have basic tool-handling skills and be able to work with maintenance systems.
• Candidates should possess a driver’s license and pass a background check.
• ASE certification and military training are appreciated but not required.

Responsabilités

• Inspect and repair company fleet equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance per schedule.
• Maintain repair records in maintenance systems.

Description du poste

Perform inspection, repair and general maintenance on company equipment engaged in interstate commerce. Perform all aspects of preventative maintenance on the newest and best maintained fleet in the industry.

Skills

• Working knowledge in the use of hand tools required.
• Must have a positive attitude and willingness to grow in position.
• Basic computer skills preferred for data entry into maintenance systems.
• Willingness to travel within proximity of terminal (close geographical area), work the required schedule, work at the specific location required.

• While performing the duties of this job, regularly required to stand, walk, sit and talk or hear.
• Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

Additional Requirements

• Knowledge of motor carrier equipment repair
• Must have a driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test

Education Required

• High School Diploma or GED
• Military training and experience a PLUS!!
• Vocational Training / School, ASE Certification preferred
