Job summary

Transwest, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Technician Apprentice to join our team in Kentucky. You will perform repairs to OEM standards, diagnose vehicle issues, and work with parts and management to ensure quality service.

Ideal applicants have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license with good MVR, and strong communication and multitasking skills. A complete set of hand tools is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and MVR in good standing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Multitasking skills.
• Independent working skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing passenger automobiles.
• Familiarity with gas and diesel truck repair and maintenance including engines, transmissions, drivability and electrical systems.
• Must possess a complete set of hand tools with rollaway toolbox.
• Able to pass a background check, physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs following OEM standards.
• Adhere to company safety guidelines.
• Communicate openly with management and other team members.
• Perform work as outlined in repair orders.
• Verify the warranty on all repair orders, if applicable.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle malfunctions.
• Cross collaborate with the parts department to obtain parts.
• Save and tag warranty parts.
• Summarize repairs and technician stories.
• Road test vehicles as needed for quality assessment.
