This entry-level role provides hands-on training in preventive maintenance, diesel troubleshooting, and Allison transmission rebuilds, with mentorship and a clear path to growth within a collaborative team. Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, reliable, and eager to develop practical repair skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and an interest in diesel equipment.
• Dependable, trustworthy, and committed to maintaining regular attendance.
• Ability to organize assignments and complete work within established deadlines.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer navigation and data-entry skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with experienced technicians and shop leadership.
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, and develop new technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn basic diesel parts, service processes, and preventive maintenance techniques.
• Assist experienced technicians with Allison transmission rebuilds and other mechanical repairs.
• Develop the skills needed to troubleshoot and diagnose routine equipment problems.
• Retrieve parts, tools, and supplies needed to complete service work.
• Assist senior technicians with larger repair and maintenance projects.
• Learn how to complete work orders and time sheets accurately and on time.
• Follow shop procedures and instructions from senior technicians and Group Leaders.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment and follow all applicable safety requirements.
