Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops is seeking diesel apprentice candidates in Lexington, SC. The program provides on-the-job training in electrical, air conditioning, wheel end assemblies, air systems, brakes, charging systems, basic diagnostics, and parts acquisition.

Expect to interact with customers and drivers, learn preventative maintenance, and work a rotating day/night schedule. Physical ability to lift 75+ pounds and obtain a medical card through DOT may be required.

Qualifications

• Learn electrical diagnostics and repairs
• Learn air conditioning & heating diagnostics and repairs
• Learn wheel end assembly diagnostics and repairs
• Learn air system diagnostics and repairs
• Learn air brakes diagnostics and repairs
• Learn charging system diagnostics and repairs
• Learn basic computer diagnostics and auxiliary component replacement
• Learn parts lookup and acquisition

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with roadside services
• Learn preventative maintenance services
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters
• Ability to work in various temperatures
• Always put safety and customer satisfaction first, following safety policies & procedures
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Love’s)
