Job summary

Love's Travel Stops in Greenville, IL is looking for Diesel Apprentices to join a fast-paced team and learn electrical, air conditioning, wheel end, and basic diagnostic skills. You will interact with customers and drivers, and Love's will teach you the fundamentals even if you have no prior experience.

Apprentices gain hands-on training, interact with customers, and learn diagnostic procedures while working in a safety‑mocused, customer‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds; willingness to work in various temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with roadside services
• Learn preventative maintenance services
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed
• Always put safety and customer satisfaction first, following company safety policies.

Diesel Apprentices work in a fast-paced environment and maintain clean places with friendly faces. You will interact with customers & drivers from all over, making their travels and their day better. Are you mechanically inclined with no professional experience? No problem!We will teach you!

In the apprentice program, you can expect to learn:

• Electrical diagnostics and repairs
• Air conditioning & heating diagnostics and repairs
• Wheel end assembly diagnostics and repairs
• Air system diagnostics and repairs
• Air brakes diagnostics and repairs
• Charging system diagnostics and repairs
• Basic computer diagnostics and auxiliary component replacement
• Parts lookup and acquisition

Job Functions:

• Assist customers with roadside services
• Learn preventative maintenance services
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters. Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures.
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. (paid by Love’s)
