Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is offering an apprentice program in Dallas designed for individuals who enjoy helping customers and are mechanically inclined. You’ll receive hands-on training in diesel diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance while working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

The role involves lifting heavy items, working in varied temperatures, and a rotating day/night schedule. DOT medical card can be obtained with employer support; tuition assistance is part of the

Qualifications

• Customer service mindset and safety awareness.
• Demonstrated mechanical interest or experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn diesel systems and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with roadside services.
• Learn preventative maintenance services.
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds in close quarters; work in varying temperatures.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Rotating day/night schedule as needed.
• Possess or obtain a DOT medical card (paid by Love’s).

Diesel Apprentices work in a fast-paced environment and maintain clean places with friendly faces. You will interact with customers & drivers from all over, making their travels and their day better. Are you mechanically inclined with no professional experience? No problem!We will teach you!

In the apprentice program, you can expect to learn:

• Electrical diagnostics and repairs
• Air conditioning & heating diagnostics and repairs
• Wheel end assembly diagnostics and repairs
• Air system diagnostics and repairs
• Air brakes diagnostics and repairs
• Charging system diagnostics and repairs
• Basic computer diagnostics and auxiliary component replacement
• Parts lookup and acquisition

Job Functions:

• Assist customers with roadside services
• Learn preventative maintenance services
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters. Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures.
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. (paid by Love’s)
