Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is offering an Diesel Apprentice Program in Texas designed to train individuals with a mechanical aptitude for entry-level diagnostics and maintenance tasks. You will learn electrical, HVAC, wheel-end, and braking diagnostics while assisting customers and drivers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• No professional experience required; training provided.
• Must be able to lift 75+ pounds and work in varying temperatures.
• Willingness to learn electrical and diagnostics concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with roadside services and basic maintenance tasks.
• Learn preventative maintenance services and diagnostics.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of work area and tools.
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures and rotate between day/night shifts.

Diesel Apprentices work in a fast-paced environment and maintain clean places with friendly faces. You will interact with customers & drivers from all over, making their travels and their day better. Are you mechanically inclined with no professional experience? No problem!We will teach you!

In The Apprentice Program, You Can Expect To Learn:

• Electrical diagnostics and repairs
• Air conditioning & heating diagnostics and repairs
• Wheel end assembly diagnostics and repairs
• Air system diagnostics and repairs
• Air brakes diagnostics and repairs
• Charging system diagnostics and repairs
• Basic computer diagnostics and auxiliary component replacement
• Parts lookup and acquisition

Job Functions:

• Assist customers with roadside services
• Learn preventative maintenance services
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters. Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures.
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. (paid by Love’s)
