First Student in Village of Freeport seeks a qualified Technician to perform routine and non-routine maintenance on vehicles. The candidate will ensure vehicle safety and adherence to company standards while working independently under minimal supervision.
The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a Class B CDL, and advanced mechanical skills with preference given to those holding an ASE certification. This is a safety-sensitive role subject to drug and alcohol testing.
This position will perform routine and non-routine maintenance, diagnostic and repair work on vehicles (buses, vans etc.) which adheres to First Student standards. Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles more complex problems and can resolve independently. All work is performed with a commitment to safety. May mentor or provide informal guidance to other Technicians in the shop. Also, may act as a Shift Foreman and may receive a shift premium. In the state of Washington, this position is considered a safety-sensitive position and is therefore subject to drug and alcohol testing, including cannabis. $36.07/hr based on CBA
