Job summary

W.W.Williams in Perrysburg, OH is seeking a Diesel Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and diagnose diesel engines and heavy‑duty trucks. You will perform routine maintenance and respond to emergency services, while ensuring work is completed safely and to the customer's satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of diesel repair experience, strong knowledge of A/C, brake, emission and air systems, and solid diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel repair and maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of A/C, brake, emission and air systems.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and Microsoft Office for paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality repairs and maintenance on Diesel Engines/Heavy Duty Trucks as specified in procedures.
• Accurately complete all required paperwork on work orders and inspections.
• Diagnose vehicle failures by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts.
• Adhere to all company and safety standards.
• Inspect vital parts to ensure proper operating conditions.
• Create a job repair plan based on diagnosis.

Diesel Technician Opportunity Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Technician. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for accurately troubleshooting, repairing, and diagnosing both routine maintenance and emergency services while making repair recommendations to customers. This position will work closely with other technicians to ensure all work scheduled is performed safely and to the customer's satisfaction.

Job Duties

• Perform quality repairs and maintenance on Diesel Engines/Heavy Duty Trucks as specified in manufacturer-designed procedures.
• Accurately complete all required paperwork (e.g., repair information on work orders, information for state and emission inspections) in a timely manner.
• Diagnose failure of vehicles by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts.
• Dedication and adherence to all Company and industry safety standards.
• Inspecting vital parts to ensure they are in proper operating conditions.
• Create a job repair plan based on diagnosis.

Work Experience & Qualifications

• Our ideal candidate would have a minimum of 3+ Years of diesel repair and maintenance experience in a heavy truck/fleet dealership or shop environment.
• Strong working knowledge of multiple systems (e.g., A/C, brake, emission, air), diagnostics, and troubleshooting diesel engines.
• Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
